The educational attainment of improvement program for primary and secondary teachers in the training base of Guangdong province is organized and coordinated by the South China Normal University.
Between 5th and 25th of March, twenty-three principals, chosen as representatives of the training base, have participated in the senior education training project that is organized and undertaken by Finland-China Education Association (FICEA). During the training, the principal group has visited 11 different-level schools, with the focus of investigating school curriculum designs, localization of the national curriculum, principal and teacher leadership, construction of school culture, as well as special education. In addition, the group has attended 22 thematic lectures, in which principals gained a deeper knowledge of Finnish education. In the eventual self-research and study session, the principal group expressed profound considerations on how to use the merits of Finnish education for reference and apply them in practice according to their own school situation.
