Finnish Experts in China

The “Finnish educational experts in China” - Project 2017 initiated by FICEA is fully operating. FICEA, along with Beijing Wuyi Primary School, co-organized a China-Finland Education Cooperative Program with an overall theme on cultivation of students’ core competences.

Over years of cooperation through integrating superior educational resources of both parties, Finland-China Education Association (FICEA) and National Institute of Education Sciences (NIES) co-founded the Center of Sino-Finnish Education Innovation in Beijing in April, 2017. The center of this collaboration is around the theme of educational innovation, and the association is going to devote itself on theoretical research, decision of service, practical support, as well as educational communication and proclamation.

In June 2016, eight Finnish educational experts with the Vice Chairman and Secretary-General of Finland-China Education Association (FICEA) Mr. Dong Li, attended a 7-day seminar organized by Xiejiawan Primary School in Chongqing. How to improve the school-based learning materials continually? What can we learn from the new curriculum reform in Finland? With these questions, the teachers from Xiejiawan Primary School participated in a series of research activities “Xiejiawan Primary School + Finnish Education” in autumn again.

Under the guidance of Finnish educational experts, we continuously and systematically research teaching material development, class workshops and teacher improvement. Therefore, we can promote the school-based curriculum widely.

2015 Autumn Finnish Experts and Principals In China

On 17th April 2014, the directors of FICEA Mr. Jari Andersson, Mr. Pekka Pellinen and Mr. Li Dong made a visit to National Institute of Education Science (NIES).

In the afternoon on 28th April 2014, the executive vice president of FICEA Mr. Li Dong was invited to visit NAEA and gave a new-vision lecture “Features and Advantages of Finnish Education” to over 300 students.

Between 1st and 3rd of November 2014, the annual meeting of national non-government primary and secondary schools & school management seminar was held in Yichang City, Hubei Province, China. More than 230 principals and chairmen of educational organizations all over the country attended the meeting.

On 6th November 2014,The forum was hosted by Best Educational Organization. The Finnish educational epert Dr Riitta Juusenaho, the directors of FICEA Mr. Jari Andersson and Mr. Li Dong, former vice director of department of basic education of Ministry of Education, gave the lectures. The leaders of Zhengzhou City were present at the meeting with guests from Taiwan, principals of Zhengzhou schools, and teachers and students and parents from Best Educational Organization.
